YOUR OUTWARD SHOULD REFLECT YOUR INWARD One of the great tragedies within the Christian church is the error of concentrating on changing people from the outside in. The Bible speaks of changing the heart, the inner attitudes, the core being of the individual, and allowing that change to work its way to the surface. Outward living should be a reflection of who we are on the inside. Unfortunately the emphasis today is very much on the public person, a job, achievements, looks and assets. Beauty is thought of in terms of physical proportions, success in terms of a car model, and life in general in terms of what one has. But these are small ambitions that should not envelop our focus. Success and achievements should be inside out. The Bible speaks of changing the heart, the inner attitudes, the core being of the individual, and allowing that change to work its way to the surface. Who you are, whether it is the business person, parent or leader, is who you are on the inside, well before it becomes apparent on the outside.
