The Ontario government is moving closer to building a planned high-speed rail line that will link Toronto, Kitchener-Waterloo, London and Windsor. In a statement released on Friday, the province says it has ordered an environmental assessment for the project to: Determine the most appropriate route for the line Explore state-of-the-art transportation options Examine the environmental impact the future railroad will have Im delighted our government is one step closer to bringing a high-speed rail to Windsor, London, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Toronto, MPP for London North Centre Deb Matthews said in the statement. The project is part of the Ontario governments 10-year, $29-billion Moving Ontario Forward infrastructure plan.
