The Philippine Consulate General informed the public in Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Republic of Palau, Republic of the Marshall Island, and the Federated States of Micronesia yesterday that, in line with the Philippine government’s efforts to update its visa policies and further encourage tourism and investment in the Philippines, the visa-free privilege granted to 151 countries including the United States, Palau, Marshall Island and Micronesia under Executive Order 408 will be extended from 20 days to 30 days effective Aug. 1, 2013. Israel and Brazil shall remain eligible for 59-day visa-free entry pursuant to existing bilateral agreements of these two countries with the Philippines. The Consulate General would like to remind concerned foreign nationals of the following requirements for visa-free entry: A national passport valid for at least six months beyond the contemplated stay; and a return ticket to the country of origin or onward ticket to the next country of destination.
