The Phra Vihere Temple verdict that will be rule out this coming of October by the ICJ will be very interesting because this dispute has been based on the past, the present and the future of the co-existence of two countries. As studying peace and conflict studies I still believe in "the third party" to help transfrom the conflcit from the destrictive to constructive. I see ASEAN and the global community. Within the context of ASEAN . The judgement would have a clear impact on this region, and could be seen as either a win-win or a lose-lose. I still see the trial result would give more or less positive vibration that it would increase the possibility of bringing both countries back to the negotiation table via the third party mechanisms to further promote friendship between two countries, which could lead to a new ASEAN way of conflict management.
