The President of the United States, The Congress and the states do not dictate who will work full-time or part-time. Employers and employees determine that, and usually it is the employer who does. The GOP intends to undermine the workers’ ability to work full-time for a single employer, by NOT acknowledging to the public that employers maximize profits by minimizing costs such as health care benefits. The proposed rule change (30 hours changed to 40 hours to mandate employers to provide health insurance coverage) will not hurt President Obama (the ACA is a law, not a person) but it is a scam against the worker and a cost savings for employers. This is an assault on every America worker’s ability to earn a higher income and have affordable health care! Their disdain of President Barak Obama never ceases to amaze.
