The Richmond Sockeyes stretched their amazing winning streak to sixteen games and edged the North Vancouver Wolf Pack 2-1 tonight at Minoru Arena. Carson Rose scored the winner, seven minutes into the third period, and Kootenay Alder recorded his 21st victory for the Sockeyes. The goaltending was fantastic at both ends of the ice with Anders Ten Vaanholt keeping the Wolf Pack in the game long enough to give them a chance at a third period comeback. It was a big two points for the Sockeyes, who now lead the Wolf Pack by eight points in the race for first place in the Tom Shaw Conference. In Mission tonight, The Abbotsford Pilots got goals from four different skaters and knocked-off the Mission City Outlaws by a score of 4-1. Abbotsford has won three in a row and trail the conference leading Aldergrove Kodiaks by twelve points with eight games remaining on their schedule.
