The Series Of The Daily Living Word: 3- 21- 2014 Acts 17 : 18 - 28 Priscilla, Aquila & Apollos Acts 18 : 23 - After spending some time in Antioch, Paul set out from there and traveled from place to place throughout the region of Galatia and Phrygia strengthening all the disciples. Acts 18 : 24 - Meanwhile, a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. Apollos was a learned man, with a thorough knowledge of the scriptures. Acts 18 : 25 - Apollos was instructed in the way of the Lord, and he spoke with great fervor and taught about Jesus accurately, though he knew only the baptism of John. Acts 18 : 26 - Apollos began to speak boldly in the Synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they invited him to their home and explained to him the way of God more adequately. Acts 18 : 27 - When Apollos wanted to go to Achaia, the brothers encouraged him and wrote to the disciples there to welcome him. On arriving Apollos was a great help to those who by grace had believed. Acts 18 : 28 - For Apollos vigorously refuted the Jews in public debate, proving from the scriptures that Jesus was the Christ. In todays society we must pray for the spiritual growth of disciples with similar assertiveness as Paul and Apollos. These men were in a mission to prove by the mean of the holy scriptures that Jesus is the Christ, the Lamb of God, the Savior of the world.
