The Spring Lake Township Bike Path millage passed yesterday which means SLT and the Village of Spring Lake will be able to continue to maintain bike paths, including the North Bank Trail. The millage will also allow the Township to construct new critical linkages to the bike path system keeping users safe and separate from roadways. If it wasnt for this millage, the NBT would not be in existence today. We should be grateful that the residents of SLT are forward thinking and willing to invest in infrastructure that provides for safe recreation and transportation alternatives. Returns on that investment also include stable or increased property values as well as a healthier population.
