The State Chairman, All Progressives Congress - TopicsExpress

The State Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC) Bauchi, Bauchi State. Sir, OBSERVATION! OBSERVATION!! OBSERVATION!!! Ameerul Qaumi Kaadimuhum (Leader of a people is their servant) (An Arab poet) Sir, except for record purpose, but it is with greatest reluctance that I write you this letter, but, at least to remind you that people of Bauchi state never blink in watching your leadership which, according to my study, people still expect more than what we have today. APC is not just a hope but the only hope of the masses and we remain hopeful that you are still willing to come to their aid as a leader. Sir, we are not regretting and hopefully we will continue to rejoice your emergence as the APC Bauchi state chairman following the April 26 historical state convention that opened a new page about opposition in Bauchi state. Of course, against all discouraging speculations linking you to the ruling PDP and the recent ones which include but not limited to some of the state EXCO members holding nocturnal meetings with some PDP stalwarts, we remain reliably loyal to your leadership and at the same time promise always alert you on what we believe will improve the quality of your leadership and win people’s confidence. While I continue to complain on your silence, which may imply APC’s I don’t care attitude on Bauchi state people’s predicaments, example, instead of prosecuting poverty in the state, Bauchi state government continue to push her civil servants and the general public to the receiving end under the pretence of reeling economy, I assure you that People’s unalloyed support for APC in the state needs just a small improvement on the part of your leadership to make yet another history comes 2015 general elections. But this is my usual complain, however, this time around I want to also observe a (mis)step towards self-centeredness by your leadership specifically on the Ramadan gifts the state chapter of APC received from different quarters. No doubt, this is an opportunity for you to demonstrate to the world that with you as the leader a new day has come. Needless to remind you is that in real politics, weighty issues always come to the surface no matter what and that proves it as not a secret society activity. Thus, the rift among the state EXCO members on who should be the direct beneficiaries of the huge foodstuff Ramadan gifts at your disposal is currently making the round; therefore it is necessary to draw your attention so that right decisions that will make the masses feel your caring is taken. Certainly, where others opined that the foodstuff be shared among the ordinary people in the state no matter how little it is, it is unfortunate that majority of the EXCO members persisted in pressing to limit the sharing of the foodstuff to among yourselves (the EXCOs)-this will definitely kill the hope and confidence people have in APC, except if the idea was conceived to kill that hope. Sir, Gaskiya it is too early for you to allow such issues to be an issue. Your body language is definitely not that encouraging. You, as a leader, must lead by example. You are at the advantage of enjoying support riveted from vast majority of APC members, perhaps because you didn’t come from any extreme end. And I think this is exactly the time when any action short of looking forward to canvassing more support by an opposition party must be declared unwelcomed. From the look of things, APC under your leadership is not prepared to sacrifice anything for the common good of the hoi-polloi. Sir, we are here by suggesting that the over 1,500 several bags of different items donated to the Bauchi state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) be shared selflessly and openly. Finally, extend my gratitude to H.E. Alh. Atiku Abubakar, Governor Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso of Kano state and others who remember us as opposition members living in PDP led state. Allah Ya saka da Alkhairi. Long Live APC in Bauchi state! Long Live APC in Nigeria. Yours faithfully, Comrade Mannir Musa Yisin
