The Story Of MARVAN ATAPATTU (Sri Lankan Cricketer) Making his debut in test cricket, he scored duck in both the innings. He was dropped. Went back to the first class cricket to make more runs to get his place again in the national team. After 21 Months , he got a second chance. He again gave his best shot. His technique wasn’t good enough at the highest level but he kept on trying to regain his place in national team Three years later, he got another chance. This time he made runs, hitting his first century against India in his 10th test. He finished with 5,502 Test runs at an average of 39.02 in 90 Tests with a One-day International average of 37.57 after hitting 8,529 runs in 268 matches. Atapattu scored six double centuries and sixteen centuries in his Test cricket career. He has scored centuries against all Test-playing nations. Message: Never give up. Never ,never give up!!
