The media is abuzz with the news that there will be six days of total and absolute darkness in December. They claim that the Universe will turn upside down in that month, and that the world will end on December 21. They claim the authority of a great space exploration organization like NASA. Prophecy teachers have been making much of this news -- mostly to encourage people to give them a larger donation so that nothing evil might happen to the donors. What is the truth? Has NASA discovered anything of this sort? Will there be total darkness for six days in December. Will the world end on December? The answer to all those questions is: NO!! This is an absolutely FALSE and bogus news. Here is how this story came into circulation. The story started in 2012 when some people found some strange dates on ancient Mayan calendars, and claimed on that basis that world would end on 21 December 2012. Prophetic teachers got much juice out of that (false) claim but nothing of that sort happened on that day -- or after that. However, prophetic doom stories have a unique way of coming back in a new garb every few years to dupe people. The present story is simply the old, bogus, Mayan Calendar story back in a new (false) NASA garb. The new story makes mention of a talk by NASA administrator Charles F. Olden, Jr. It is true that Olden did deliver a lecture in which he told people that they should be well-prepared for every kind of crisis (which many Americans have been facing). However, the lecture had NOTHING to do with December 2014 or with any discovery made by NASA. Please DO NOT be fooled by false claims!!
