The Voice 2014: Rachael OConnor says Kylie Minogue is like a mum! The Voice UK finalist Rachael O’Connor has said working with Kylie Minogue is like being with her mum! We can’t imagine that Kylie has ever had that comparison before. 17-year-old Rachael is the youngest of the remaining contestants – and the only girl on team Kylie – meaning she’s been sharing a special bond with the Into The Blue singer. Rachael revealed: “It’s quite exciting! I’m hoping ti means me and Kylie can go on shopping trips and tampering sessions.” She went on: “I’ve rehearsed with her every round I’ve got through and, off camera, she’s so lovely. “If I was just standing around, she’d always make sure I was OK. I’d be like ‘I’m fine!’ It feels like she’s being by mum!” Rachael and her fellow Team Kylie singers Lee Glasson and Jamie Johnson will all be singing live this weekend in a bid to make the semi-finals but only two of them will make the cut. Belfast singer Rachael is one of the favourites to win but she’s playing down the odds ahead of Saturday night’s show. “I’m pretty flattered that people are putting money on mean but I’m into betting!” Rachael said. The Voice 2014 live shows start this Saturday night on BBC One from 6:45PM.
