The Washington Post Since Jeff Bezos (Amazon) has taken over the Washington Post, I believe the paper has taken an unfortunate turn to the right. What I once considered a voice for moderate liberals has become a voice for conservatives. While I dont want to anger my Republican friends (the few that I have), we Democrats should take note. The Posts laudatory story about Republican, Larry Hogan and his run to become next Governor of Maryland tipped the scales for me. If you want to see Marylands infrastructure, highways, schools, etc. go downhill, Hogan is your man. Taxes are a necessary evil to keep Maryland healthy. Hogan doesnt want a ban on large ammo clips (over 10 rounds)...does he fear a zombie apocalypse? I had Hogans Father (Larry Sr.) as one of my journalism instructors (public relations) at the U of MD. I followed his fathers political career and if like father, like son holds true...beware of Larry Hogan. Additionally, the Post has cast a sour tone on President Obama. Maybe Obama hasnt met all of our expectations...but compare the economy, stock market, unemployment and more to when Bush was President. Bush put us into the worst recession since the Great Depression. Obama has put us back on stable ground. If you havent voted, today is your last chance. Vote your conscience but please mix in some facts.
