The annual Midsumma Festival would simply not be possible without the commitment, passion and resourcefulness of volunteers, such as Michael Dalton. Michael is well-known and loved throughout the queer community for his work as not only with community groups such as Midsumma, JOY and the VAC, but also as alter-ego Dolly Diamond. Michael has donated his time to Midsumma for many year, as both a performer and voice of the community. In 2013, Michael assisted with the creating the stage schedules for Carnival as well as hosting across the day and is assisting with the programming of the 2014 inaugural Midwitna event. Both Michael and Dolly are part of the heart and soul of Midsumma. Thank you Micheal! Happy National Volunteer Week
