The assertion by South Yorkshire Police that they felt by not - TopicsExpress

The assertion by South Yorkshire Police that they felt by not colluding with the BBC would have meant the loss of evidence rings somewhat hollow. The South Yorkshire Police on allegedly being first contacted by a BBC journalist / reporter had at that time the power and authority to immediately obtain a search warrant and conduct a search of the home of SIR CLIFF RICHARD. Any person then hindering obstructing or impeding or interfering with a police investigation could face criminal charges not least that of attempting to pervert the course of justice. The South Yorkshire Police in their wisdom or lack of such for their own reasons decided to make a grand stand entrance to the home of SIR CLIFF RICHARD. What ensued was a staged performance by The South Yorkshire Police lesser officers getting bit roles and the more senior officers getting the starring parts. What followed was straight from (for those of you who are young enough to remember ?) a Brian Rix farc with the South Yorkshire Police and BBC very quickly falling out allegation and counter allegation one against the other. Their actions between them has undoubtedly has had a profound affect upon SIR CLIFF RICHARD his life, reputation and general standing within the country and not least a loss of integrity of any subsequent police investigation.
