The debut of the Team Figure Skating event begins tomorrow in - TopicsExpress

The debut of the Team Figure Skating event begins tomorrow in Sochi, one day before the Opening Ceremonies! The mens and pairs short programs will take place with reigning National Champion Jeremy Abbott and 2-time National Champions Marissa Castelli & Simon Shnapir representing the United States. Reigning and 3-time World Champion Patrick Chan and World bronze medalists Meagan Duhamel & Eric Radford will represent Canada. The competitors for the ladies and dance short programs will be announced on Friday, Feb. 6. The top five placing teams after the short programs will advance to the second round featuring the long program in each discipline. Competitors will be announced on a rolling schedule. All events can be viewed LIVE at NBCOlympics, and NBC Primetime will air figure skating, snowboarding, and freestyle skiing at 8 pm ET on Thursday night. Thursdays event schedule: 10:30 am ET Team Event - Mens Short Program 12:10 pm ET Team Event - Pairs Short Program
