The destination for quite a lot of the trips I make is usually an impulsive choice but today I deliberately picked Chesterfield.After the (obligatory) tour of the church with the famous crooked spire it was a nice cool pint of Fosters to quench the thirst that was created earlier by a breakfast of a massive bacon and tomato sandwich from the Giltbrook Cob Shop.!Then on to a quite extensive open-air market that was full of curious sights and interesting sounds not the least of which was the continuous humorous patter of the mobile butcher.I suspect that the queue was more interested in the patter rather than the product that he was selling.! ! My day was spoiled a little by the passenger who boarded the bus at Alfreton and who then proceeded to tell the world via numerous mobile calls to friends why he had split with his lady friend.As I boarded the bus to come home the same character followed me on and the bus left before I could get off.! ! ! Some you win---some you lose.!
