The events in Paris are keeping the anti-Muslim hate pages in - TopicsExpress

The events in Paris are keeping the anti-Muslim hate pages in Australia quite busy. The usual rounds of comments are being made: such events are unprecedented on French soil, the Muslims do not condemn the attacks etc.. But here is an editorial from the Guardian that we all must read. The points we want to highlight are: - Muslim leadership has come out to condemn the attacks. - Muslims did join the protests on Wednesday against the attacks - Two of the people killed were Muslims themselves, and one of them was a police officer who died in the line of duty. - The Muslim commentator disagreed with the magazines stand but does not in anyway support the murders of the cartoonists. If you come across anti-Muslim hate pages, comments, images or posts on Facebook, YouTube and twitter do post them on fightagainsthate, our online hate reporting system. Similarly, if you come across content promoting terrorism and extreme violence, again - report it on our systems and we will pass them on to the necessary government authorities. theguardian/commentisfree/2015/jan/08/france-bloody-intolerant-history-bloodshed-muslims
