The first piece of City Council mail I have received is from... Alex Polsky, not to be confused with Michael Polsey. Interesting piece, a little early I would think, but maybe very purposeful so to be seen separately, not lost in the shuffle of so many other pieces that should be landing in your mailboxes soon! The ballots for those of us that vote by mail (approx. 52% of HB voters) will be mailed out approximately 30 days before Election Day (Nov. 4th) so probably no later than a week from tomorrow. The piece is an 11 x 17, folded, four color piece (not cheap to produce) that looks very professional and gives me a decent feel for the candidate. Id give it a solid B. This is too inside baseball to really matter, but I find it interesting despite that this is a non-partisan race, and Alex is a self confessed registered Democrat (as am I) that he chose to highlight his endorsement by District Attorney Tony Rackauckas (a very active Republican partisan), again maybe quite purposefully to balance out being a Dem or just because he knows him well given his profession as an attorney/mediator. Did most everybody here on HBCF receive this piece or only mailed to registered Dems? Let the mail wars begin!!!
