The glenohumeral joint has more movement potential than any other - TopicsExpress

The glenohumeral joint has more movement potential than any other joint in the body. Movement places many demands on the shoulder. To maintain health and function, it needs to be progressively exposed to a wide variety of stimuli. I often use supinated passthroughs (or a variation of them) as part of my warmup as well as using heavier loads 1-2x per week. Start with hands WIDE (wider than you think). Improve range of motion first, them begin to add a load....very progressively. At the top of the rep, actively retract the shoulder blades, pushing them tall toward the ceiling. By changing the angle of your torso relative to the ground, you can change where the most challenging portion of each rep will be a as well as changing muscular recruitment. My shoulders have been responding very well to this variation and Ill likely stick with it for 4-6 weeks before I switch things up. How is your shoulder mobility?
