What we fail to understand is that the good Samaritan worshiped pagan gods and never believed in the God of the Jews yet his act of LOVE attracted the attention of the Christ! In contrast the Lord compares this pagan to committed religious folk - the Pharisee, the Levites and the Priest who totally failed the simple test of LOVE! The foundation of Christianity is LOVE which if we dont demonstrate it we are worse then pagans. If pagans demonstrate it they attract the blessings of GOD! The LOVE of God is best demonstrated by the way we relate to and live with other people and less about the acts of worship we do in church! Think about this!
