The helicopter was designed at the University of Minnesota and can change direction and altitude just by thought. The pilot wears an EEG cap that reads the signals and relays it to the aircraft. Developers hope the technology can be adapted in the future to help individuals who are paralyzed or suffer from neurodegenerative disease to regain some independence.
