The highly advertised all-time major mojo full moon of tonight glimmered briefly through a blockade of clouds then skulked into invisibility. We had a superb tomato-basil pasta tonight with Jo Fosters homegrown basil and an inexpensive Fortanesca 2011 sulpica from Italy and green salad with Wishbone Italian dressing. The hardly appetizing video was CNN’s 1960’s series on civil rights, the Freedom Riders, the horrors of murders and beatings, JFK’s murder, and LBJ passing the civil rights bill with the help of Pekin’s own Sen. Everett McKiinley Dirksen R-Illinois), back when politics was about bipartisanship for good government’s sake. We agreed we should drive down to Pekin before the snow flies to see his museum. Too bad that Peruvian restaurant is gone.
