The house of Belichick has fallen on hard times: That title just generates enough interest to read the rest of the column, but it might be slightly misleading since the real story is about the Patriots Bird house that has fallen from its mighty perch high above the fence. And that too is relative, if you’re, say a lizard and who was strolling around looking for a couple bugs to satisfy your hearty appetite when this large bird house fell from the sky and nearly squashed you like “The Wicked Witch of the East”, but if you’re not a lizard or not underneath the house when it fell then the whole idea is pointless and this discussion should stop immediately. If you are, say a bird flying above the house then it might appear quite small and insignificant to you unless it is your house and then you probably need to find a new residence. Although you would have to be a Patriots fan to live in such a house which are very rare in Northern CA, too many 49er & Raider fans claim that there are only a few Pat’s fans and they all live east of the Mississippi. So after checking the local newspaper where Patriot stories are as rare as hens teeth, it seems there hasn’t been a Tornado here in a very long time, sorry Dorothy, and the little Blond dog’s name is definitely not Toto and has never been to Kansas. Nevertheless, what is true is that the ground under the house was very hard no matter what time it fell. And just maybe the bird who lives there is named Bill, so given that and if he has had a few eggs hatch then we might say “The house of Bill’s chicks has fallen on hard ground” which is close to “The house of Belichick has fallen on hard times” and not being one to squabble I can live with the difference. So in conclusion, after reviewing all the evidence and questioning the gnomes who never said a word we must conclude houses in Northern CA are dropping as quickly as the prices. Thank You
