The illumination from a candle is not as noticeable in a well lit - TopicsExpress

The illumination from a candle is not as noticeable in a well lit room, as it is when it is placed in the darkness. If you have dedicated your life to being a guiding light for others, it is necessary to occasionally venture into the darkness to help guide those who can not find their own way out. If we choose to remain in the sunlight of positivity and surround ourselves only with people who have already found the path, then our lives will become stagnant and useless. You would not throw a life line to someone who is already standing safely on the shore, you would focus all you attention on those still treading water in the sea of negativity. But you must be confident in yourself and in your own inner peace and happiness before you attempt to help those in the shadows. Allowing others to extinguish your flame and drag you into the darkness of negativity is always a possibility, but the reward is well worth the risk. It is written that an island of happiness can not exist in a sea of suffering. We must do all that we can to purify the waters around us, by helping all that we meet fight off the demons of their past and find their way out of a world of suffering and pain. In Buddhism, a Bodhisattva is someone who has obtained enlightenment, but chooses not to enter into Nirvana, instead he is dedicated to use his wisdom to help all sentient beings become enlightened as well. Do not let your loving, guiding light go to waste. The next time you encounter someone who has a negative outlook on life, realize that they are suffering and desperately need to be shown some love and Compassion. We can make a difference in each and every life that we touch. Blessings and Love to you all. ~ GURU BUBBA McLOVIN
