The lack of respect by many of us for the elders or other people is beyond measure. Whilst I understand that respect is earned tru works & deeds, there r people u have to respect the office they occupy and also by virtue of the age. As South Africans we have shifted our focus under the auspies that we have democratic right to say whatever we want about people forgetting the golden rule, Pray, Respect & Honour those in authority bcoz it is the same God whom we fear and love that has allowed those in authority to rule. Even when theres change & another leader comes, it will still be Gods will not individuals intelligence or education or cunning. By the way govt is not run based on academic qualifications but rather on indeginous knowledge & skills imparted and having surrounded oneself with wise and well informed people both locally and global spheres of life (some call them advisors - these r the people who r academic or should be for administration purposes).
