The last 90 minutes have been rough. Ya cant just discipline Nick without a conversation about motives. Long story short, he summed it up by saying: He is mad because he feels like a loser. No dad would abandon (yes he uses these kinds of words) his kid. He felt his dad is out having fun and noth thinking about him. We talked about how he feels and that he is allowed to feel hurt but he is not allowed to be mean because of that hurt. The look in his face was one I dont care to see ever again in my life, but I knew I had to hold him accountable so he wont pick up a victim mentality or use absent father as a crutch. I promised him that he would be ok whether or not his dad does what he should and he is a great kid regardless of his decision. Im tired. It is emotionally exhausting to choose words that tell the truth and keeps you on the high road all at the same time.Please pray with and FOR us.
