The last line of this old song, He is able (see link below) caught my attention this morning. It says, He is able.....more than able.....to make me what He wants me to be. Phew! What a relief!! He is the Potter and when I submitted my will to Him as both my Saviour and my Lord, I gave Him permission to mold me......and break and remold me where necessary. I dont have to worry about the journey of becoming like Jesus here on Earth or fulfilling my purpose; I dont have to know everything. I just have to trust Him and stay submitted to Him - His superior ways and thoughts. Now, does that mean I have no role to play in this transformation process? Of course I do! I am transformed when my mind is renewed by Gods Word (Romans 12:2). The expansive Amplified version of the bible says it this way: ....but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renew of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], ... The Contemporary English Version says, ...but let God change the way you think. Then you will know how to do everything that is good and pleasing to Him. So, I will keep reading and studying Gods Word (the bible) and trust God to do the transforming by His Spirit that indwells me. Maranatha.
