The monumental task of installing American Metal: The Art of Albert Paley at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC has begun. The building does not have an elevator system large enough to move Alberts steel sculpture so much of the work will be moved to the second floor display space using ramps and pulleys. The installation will take two weeks. Stay tuned for more pictures of the installation process. The exhibition covers all aspects of his nearly 50-year career, starting with his work as a jeweler and progressing through his recent, large-scale sculptural projects. June 28 through September 28.
