The next Crockett City Council meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, May 19. The council will canvass election returns, administer the oath of office to council members, and announce the mayor pro tem per the city charter, Section 3.05. The council also will consider and approve entering into a contract with a person or organization to provide professional services to take applications from, investigate and make recommendations for candidates for the position of city administrator, and to determine the terms of such contract and the compensation paid for such services. Another agenda item states the council will receive annual reports from the Chamber of Commerce of money received and expenditures made under the agreement with the Chamber of Commerce for sharing of Hotel and Motel Occupancy taxes.
