The one thing I did forget to mention about my trip was the overflow of Syrian refugees into Istanbul. I was astounded to see the poverty amongst a thriving western metropolis and no-one even blinking an eye. The little guy must have been all of 4 years old, playing a plastic childs instrument begging for money in the most prosperous shopping street in Istanbul...at 2am in the morning. The other pic is of a woman and small child asleep in the open on pavement in a major square...people just walked around her. There were many others like her. :/
