The political opposition in Botswana is entirely reactionary. Almost the only time we ever hear, see or read about the political opposition – be it the BCP, UDC or whoever – is when they are criticising either BDP or the Government. Opposition leaders would condemn, reject and voice their disapproval in relation to something which BDP or Government had either done or something which a BDP (and by extension Government) leader has said. This kind of introduction does not bode well for the all important first impression.
