The power of studying abroad in college (though Im already studying abroad in the states) is that it makes you realize that the life you thought you want was merely sth people had been telling you that you should want it. Its so vulnerable that Ive been living in self-doubt for three months. Fame, money, glamor, some people made me think that I cant live without them and theyre what Im up to. But Im happier than ever these three months in Europe, and my favorite moments was not shopping on the Champs-lycées or having a super upscale french dinner. They were the moments I was with my friends or reencountered the boy I like, the moments I walked alone in Madrid in the early morning and had an over sweet churro, or in Lisbon hearing the sound of the waves in the midnight. I dont know how this will change my life. Im such a coward that Im not brave enough to just walk out of my old life, but looking at the lives of the people I used to admire Im having an increasingly clear idea that this is not the life I want. Just some random thoughts before my last week in Paris comes.
