The previous Low Pressure Area just 1000 kilometers - TopicsExpress

The previous Low Pressure Area just 1000 kilometers south-southeast of Guam has dissipated and it is no longer to be suspected for possible development within the next 48 to 96 hours. Our numerical model and satellite product depicts a continuous wind circulation but poorly organized Low Level Circulation Center (LLCC) and a weak central convection over the area where the LPA last reported. The rapid dissipation was caused by the prevailing warm easterlies blowing form the eastern periphery of the circulation supported by the strong upper level air (wind shear) enhanced by a mid latitude High Pressure Ridge to the east of the Taiwan. Sea surface environment near coordinates 5n, by 135 to 145e is still favorable for future development with 28 to 30 degree celsius SST. Potential tropical cycone formation over western pacific is now downgraded into LOW.
