The reality is that different of foods and different ratios of fats to carbohydrates will suit different people best. Following an effective training program on appropriate total energy intake and adequate protein will always produce results. The best ratio of fats to carbs is a matter of fine tuning and of secondary importance to adequate protein within appropriate total energy. Individual choices of foods are only important in terms of how much more likely or how much less likely those choices make the prospect of achieving suitable total intake, and how effortless or how much of a chore it feels to adhere to your plan. Regardless of what anyone says, it does come down to appropriate total energy, adequate protein and consistency of adherence. People pushing a certain choice of foods and the exclusion of others are either ignorant of the science, driven by narcissism and ego, or both. Or they are just disingenuous frauds.You can definitely detect that vibe on certain pages that are all about convincing people that the choices that are best for me are the only smart choices for anyone, and you should all just try to be more like me. The only thing I care about is that my clients are seeing better progress, enjoying the process, being happier and finding it easier than they ever did before.
