The realization that you have lost something that meant the world - TopicsExpress

The realization that you have lost something that meant the world to you, but at the same time realizing that it is a part of life. Being able to give yourself the time to heal. The more you try to run away from the grief and loss you feel, the longer it will take to heal. And there will come a time when you realise that it had to be. Like I said before the order does not really matter. What is important is to realise that it is ok to grieve after losing someone. And most importantly you cannot place a time frame on the length of time it will take for you to feel better again. For some it will take a short time whilst for others it will take longer. But despite all this, with the passage of time the hurt that you feel, the grief and loss will no longer seem as insurmountable as it used to be. There are times when our family and friends think they can help and yes they can by being there for you but you should not feel any shame because you feel pain. The ability to feel pain is just a sign to show that you loved with all you had. And by going through these stages it is a sign that you are capable of going on.
