The thing of it is — as a dirty commie hippie I still want to see universal health care. I still want to see a single payer option, and I truly believe that’s coming. But in the meantime, there’s also no denying that my family and I are the people who benefit tremendously if the ACA succeeds because right now it helps make insurance a little more affordable, but we’ll really need the risk pools to grow so rates can drop, and then we’ll be in better shape. So for us, news like the CBO just put out at least helps set our minds at ease at the possibility of this working out for the better.
