The totals are in! In two days...the 20th and 27th...during the Niagara Wine Festivals a total of 12,364 pounds of food and $15,424.35 was donated! We are speechless! Over the moon! Thrilled! AND ultimately so grateful and proud of our community. So many events occurred on our behalf we have to mention them: The Community Leadership Challenge: in partnership with Niagara Wine Festival and St. Catharines Downtown Association: 4 Mayoral Candidates: Walter Sendzik, Peter Secord For Mayor, Jeff Burch and Mark Stevens For Mayor of St.Catharines raised 3,216 lbs of food and $24.35! Wine Festival Parade: in partnership with the Niagara Wine Festival, St. Catharines Transit, Governor Simcoe Secondary School, Groovy Food Band, CAA, Real Canadian Superstore, Kaumeyer Paper collected 8,500 lbs of food! St. Catharines Firefighters “Give Hunger the Boot Collection” on our behalf during the parade collected $10,500!! Water Sales: in partnership with Real Canadian Superstore (a big thank you for the donated water) and Niagara Inflatables (who sold the water at the park on our behalf) raised $900 + 648 lbs of additional water donated to CC Meridian Credit Union “Selfless Selfie Campaign”: during the Wine Festival Parade raised $4,000! This doesnt include all of the Grand Openings and home parties who were so kind to think of us. Here are more highlights from the parade.
