The trip to the Mississippi delta this weekend got my wheels turning. Seeing the devestating poverty, lack,and harsh reality of whats here in our own backyard caused me to look inward. It strengthened my desire to BE the difference. It ignited a fire in my belly to utilize my God-given talents to create opportunities for those less fortunate and give a voice to the disadvantaged. My life is not just about singing a song and being rewarded with a check to purchase frivolous luxuries, or even just to create a fiscal legacy for my children and their future generations. Its so much bigger and deeper...im soul searching to find out what I am to do about this tugging on my heart strings and longing in my spirit. I dont have the answer as of yet...but, my heart is in the delta...Lord, here I am...use me.
