The truly beautiful song by Christian singer Joni Eareckson Tada - TopicsExpress

The truly beautiful song by Christian singer Joni Eareckson Tada was nominated for an Oscar but the Academy rescinded it for Best Original Song Oscar nomination to the independent Christian film Alone Yet Not Alone. The claim that the songs co-writer Bruce Broughton, a former Academy Governor, used undue influence by sending out emails to Academy members to vote for it is a sham. All entries are promoted and most use far more aggressive means to do so. By this criterion all entries would be disqualified. Breitbart reports that according to the Hollywood Reporter, the song encountered immediate opposition and a campaign against it was launched. breitbart/Big-Hollywood/2014/02/04/Alone-Yet-Not-Alone-Singer-Talks-to-Breitbart-News This is one of the more blatant examples of anti-Christian, P.C. bigotry by Hollywood insiders. In addition to the Christian aspects involved, the film depicts the true story of two young girls kidnapped by Indians during the French and Indian War and their mothers relentless search for them for eight years afterward. Progressives in Hollywood do not want such non-P.C. stories told on the big screen, especially when Christians are favorably depicted.
