The very hallmark of the Kingdom of God and following Jesus is HUMILITY. Without HUMILITY, it is IMPOSSIBLE to see, hear, or KNOW God! Too many of us calling ourselves Christians are so full of ourselves and other people that we have no clue what it means to HUMBLE ourselves to the very place of totally emptying ourselves of ourselves, which is exactly what Jesus has required in order to be His disciple! (Then said Jesus to His disciples, “If any man will come after me, let him DENY HIMSELF, and take up his cross, and follow Me” [Matthew 16:24]). John the Baptist understood this quite well when he said, “He MUST INCREASE, but I MUST DECREASE (John 3:30). Yet, we instead, teach and preach the accumulation of TITLES, PROSPERITY OF WEALTH, and other things that bring about PRIDE and ARROGANCE and ungodly behavior. We are so full of ourselves, which is the reasons behind our GRUMBLING, COMPLAINING, and always needing to be BROUGHT THROUGH and BROUGHT OUT of SOMETHING. We rarely have any VICTORY in Jesus because we’re too IMPATIENT to allow God to work on us and work out of us that which does HINDER us. We say we aren’t going to do this, we aren’t going to do that; but we say we’re SERVANTS of Christ; so where do we get the “I’m not, I won’t” mindset from? It certainly doesn’t come from HUMILITY! But hear what Jesus says, “Blessed are the POOR IN SPIRIT (humble): for THEIRS is the KINGDOM OF GOD.” And you wonder why you’re going through, can’t handle anything, and are always frustrated – YOU LACK HUMILITY!!!
