. Then there’s the wars going on inside Syria you mentioned. There are at least five separate wars besides the civil war. There’s the war between Saudi Arabia and Iran for regional dominance, then within that there’s a smaller war between Saudi and Qatar about which of the Gulf states is going to be the dominant one. There’s a sectarian war between Sunni and Shia. There’s the war between the U.S. and Russia, and there’s the war between the U.S. and Israel vs. Iran. All of those wars could be exacerbated by this.
