There are far more reasons why we continue to deficit spend. So - TopicsExpress

There are far more reasons why we continue to deficit spend. So liberal and conservative politicians (and voters) alike share the blame. The question is, where do we go from here? Are we going to elect LEADERS & DEMAND that they actually shut up, sit down, discuss, listen & compromise? Or should we voters continue to send well-funded, spin artists to our State Houses and D .C. for more finger pointing, meaningless rhetoric, and partisan nonsense? Heres my proposal: as we enter this midterm election season, lets all agree to actually put aside personal party affiliations/preferences and look at the candidates and what they stand for individually. And lets get out there and VOTE every chance we get, primary and general elections. Since the 1960s, American midterm elections have an average voter participation of around 40%! And we have the audacity to consider ourselves a democracy? (Which isnt true as we are supposedly a constitutional republic.) That percentage has got to be increased. Lets start now.
