There are many reasons I love being part of The Twin Cities Animal Blood Bank. One part is that unlike my patients at the Emergency Clinic I get to build a long term relationship and really get to know our donors and their owners. Some of our donors do some really cool stuff. The video is of Bruce and his owner Becky. When Bruce comes in to donate he is always happy to see us. As soon as we greet him we get full body iggles, kisses, and what we all find so charming...big smiles. Now most people might be worried seeing a pittie showing you his teeth but no worries when coming from Bruce...hes just smiling. I found out recently that Bruce does something unique other than smiles. He pulls weight competitively. Kind of like a tractor pull. I was lucky enough to see him in action at Cleary Lake Veterinary Hospitals open house this past Saturday. Loved to see him so happy and having fun!
