There are so many cliches that substitute for wisdom - TopicsExpress

There are so many cliches that substitute for wisdom which... If wed stop to consider instead of repeating, we could learn much about ourselves and life... Probably the most common cliches are those relating to The Darkness... As a Christian, I am well aware of what the Bible says about darkness... And, having spent much of my life there, I would never encourage anyone to live there... But what is hidden in there is meant to be seen and, if we never go there, well never know... It is the darkness from whence we came as our fathers sperm swam to our mothers egg... Where the intention of our fathers seed sought blindly the potential of our mothers garden... This story has been told in countless ways throughout history in fables and science... And is the very creation story of our Gods intention brought light into the dark void... Darkness is not inherently evil any more than is a person... It is what is hidden and happens there that gives form and association with evil... Yet, what is evil if not but that which occurs contrarily to the Will of God? It is not light that creates the universe any more than it is the sperm that creates life... Light is the awareness that dawns upon that which was previously unseen... In that same way, evil is that which is unseen due to the intention of being hidden... Evil is the intention to act contrarily to the natural and intended order of Gods Will... Evil is the judgment of that which should be as being inadequate for the Will of the Evil Doer... Evil is the choice to exercise ones will, causing separation, in opposition to that of Gods... It is the self-deceptive belief that we can hide our transgressions from... The 1 who brought to light all that is and ever will be for it is by that ones will all is known... Parents often shame their children into obedience but, without providing understanding... They cause their children to hide their behaviors instead of facing those impulses in the Light... The parent chastises the child expecting obedience without fear of consequences... Except those which may be imposed when the parent is aware of their transgressions... But God allows us to choose with the opportunity to learn from our mistakes... It is then up to us as to whether-or-not we continue with that behavior... We may then knowingly choose to accept the consequences of bad decisions... Following our will which, then, in our mind causes separation from God... Or wield the Light weve been freely given to illuminate our inner darkness... Revealing our hidden impulses and past indiscretions and exposing ourselves to... The hidden potential within us all and sharing that light with the World around us
