There are two things that are standing out in my mind today that happened yesterday and last night---The Red Sox beating the best pitcher in baseball and possible Cy Young winner Matt Sherzer and Congress agreeing with the President that we should bomb Syria and get involved with another conflict overseas when we are already stressed to the max militarily speaking. The first, I understand. Lester had perhaps his best pitching performance of the season. The second, I do NOT understand except to say that so many in Congress caved in.
