There have so many discussions and assumptions as to which route - TopicsExpress

There have so many discussions and assumptions as to which route the children of Israel took on the Exodus out of Egypt. The Bible states they left Egypt, crossed the Red Sea and ended up in Midian. Midian was where Mosess wife Zipporah was from. Midian happened to be in what we call modern day Saudi Arabia today. Now as for the route they took there is a gulf called Aqaba which empties into the Red Sea. It is a narrow portion of water and out would have made more sense for the children of Israel to have crossed at that narrow point. The Gulf of Aqaba also has what you call a land bridge. This land bridge is exposed only when he the tides are low. At the time Moses and the people were to cross this land mass was not visible. The Bible says that God caused the sea to go back by a sending an East wind and made the sea divide showing dry land.( Exodus 14: 21&22)
