There is an email circulating around the world that is causing a major “Cryptolocker” virus outbreak. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CryptoLocker The email appears something like this: From: Payroll Invoice Subject: Payment Overdue - Please respond Body: We have uploaded previous month reports on dropbox, please use the following link to download your file It then provides a link to a Dropbox location that will download and infect your computer with this virus. There are a few variations of this email but this is one that is being reported the most. PLEASE be very careful and do not open any emails or links of which you do not know the sender or the content. This virus can bypass the majority of the world’s best virus scanners. Once you are infected with this virus it will encrypt any data on your machine and also distribute itself to any mapped drive location that you have and destroy all the files in those drives unless you pay a hefty ransom within a few hours of becoming infected. I highly recommend that you share this post your friends and family as this is an elevated worldwide threat at the moment.
