There is an inescapable conclusion we here in Australia must come to...and that is that this Federal Government, the LNP, hates poor people. What can we do for them (read line their pockets) - nothing. What can they do for us? Take away all financial and institutional supports that have at least allowed us some dignity and some measure of health and security (all be it tiny). Our politicians get paid more than any other country. They always turn up in Parliament to vote themselves a pay rise but RARELY for anything else that is truly important to ourselves, our country or our way of life. They see themselves as totally ENTITLED (like all conservatives) and we as BLUDGERS intent on taking their (cough...) money. They see us as non-contributing because we may choose to raise a family at home rather than work 2 jobs and have other people bring up our kids. They see anyone without a job as a DOLE BLUDGER who only wants to rort the system. They do not see the need to create jobs. They are intent on sending jobs and manufacturing overseas. They are selling off our land and our assets like it is one big garage sale! They have no vision whatsoever for this country, bar making the rich richer, giving handouts to billionaire mining and media magnates, and tax breaks to multi-national corporations, rather than the poor Joe who actually desperately needs them. This government hates poor people. Full stop :(
