Trust me when I say I have tried many things. Bottom line is that this is a condition that requires major lifestyle changes which are not easy to make. I am busy building a new house a new way of living...... To make someone who is suffering from an illness, feel that they are not doing all that they can or that the fact that they have not healed is somehow their fault is simply cruel. What happened to compassionate responses, to offers of support e.g. can I get you anything? bring a casserole? get you some groceries? would you like me to come pick you up and take you out for a tea? etc. I grew up in the prairies and this is what we did when news arrived of a death in the family or an illness. This New Agey whitewash of all things related to healing demonizes the suffering of those who cannot heal... as if we even understand what that word means. I have spent over half my life in recovery, on a healing path and can say it aint easy. There are miracles out there, most remain a mystery. I see so many healers who are not gentle but worse yet not aware of their own energies that they bring to someone whose defenses are down. Maybe, just maybe the reason someone does not take your offer of your brand of healing is because the person suffering is aware that they are too open, too vulnerable to let anyone that close in. Maybe, just maybe this is what their healing looks like and it might not involve the obvious, the symptoms. It is more an internal thing.
